No One Will Fight For Your Work Like You Will

by | Mindset

It’s wonderful when you find an advocate, or someone who is willing to step up and argue for your work. When these people arrive in your life, it often feels like a breath of fresh air and a gift from above.

But here’s a hard truth: no one cares about your work like you do. No one. Not. One. Person.

If you’re waiting for someone else to kick down a door for you, prepare for disappointment. If you’re hoping for someone to vouch for you and get your foot in a door, then you may be waiting for a long time.

My new book is available now. Learn how to make your work resonate.

That’s not to say that these things don’t happen. Of course they do. However, recognize that no one thinks about your work as much as you do, and if you aren’t willing to fight for it, then no one else will either. When people see you fighting for your own work, they are inspired to join you.

No one else will fight for your work like you will. Period. You must be prepared to go 12 rounds, if necessary.

You can’t afford to put the fate of your work into someone else’s hands. Fight for it and be tenacious. No matter how great the trainer, every boxer has to step into the ring alone.
