Why Your Team Needs You To Be Precise
If you want your team to do bold, creative work, you must take the first risk by giving them clear, precise direction. Here are a few ways to do so.
I listened three times to this one! Great stuff for artists who have success in one area but are considering a move to another. It’s a good framework to discuss passion versus platform. There are so many “bliss bullies” out there. As in, follow your bliss or you’re a loser. But there is a way to use any platform to feed your passion.
Great – thanks, Ginger! I’m really glad you found it useful.
You talk about interesting and awesome things, Todd, but way too fast, it stresses me out a bit. Probably because I’m not American, huh? :-)
Yes – that’s probably true… :-)
Todd, you absolutely killed it with this episode. I could not agree more. You don’t have to enjoy everything you do, but you can still keep your joy as you do it. I definitely want to share this with my listeners and subscribers.
An inspiring podcast, but “compassionate anger?” Practicing compassion can be a powerful motivating force. However, I believe that anger, even toward those who are doing harm to others, is a destructive force and should not be used as fuel for driving action. Earnestly practicing compassion nourishes ourselves, those we are helping, and even soften those who are doing harm. I agree with the heart of your message, but the idea of compassionate anger can lead to self-righteousness.
