Excellent interview. I thought I had finished my novel over a year ago. Now I think I’m about to finish the final rewrite. I hope I’m right, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m not. The author’s comments on “the feel” of a novel seemed to ring very true for me, as did the comments on when to know you are done with the revisions. Sometime it takes several times rereading over a period of months in order to really know what to throw out and what to keep.
