Question: Are you making your art, or are you settling for less that you’re capable of? In his new book [amazon_link id=”1591846072″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Icarus Deception[/amazon_link], Seth Godin issues a challenge to all of us that the future belongs to those courageous enough to share their art with the world rather than succumbing to the forces of fear and comfort.

I really enjoyed this podcast. I think that Godin’s idea seems to overlap with the importance of unnecessary creating. Taking the pressure off and saying, “It’s probably not going to turn into anything” is a pretty liberating idea.
I’m curious – what do you think the main reason is that people are afraid to step out and make art?
I was listening to this while organizing our resource room and it blew me away. Thanks for giving me this audio
Glad you enjoyed!
Great interview @toddhenry:disqus ! What a honor to have Seth on as a guest, very cool. It inspired me to hop over to his meetup page you linked here and I’m hosting my own Icarus Session here locally in Arizona next week. Just stumbled across you blog today, really like what you have so far and I’m checking out some other areas. Nice work.
Thanks, Jeremy.
