Why Your Team Needs You To Be Precise
Why Your Team Needs You To Be Precise
If you want your team to do bold, creative work, you must take the first risk by giving them clear, precise direction. Here are a few ways to do so.
Hey Todd, that was a really good piece and enjoyed it. I agree that in a creative group setting that being open and selfless, is not only freeing from the need to control or out do everybody but productive, and when I was listening to this I realized all the places in life where this would produce and enhance better communication. even in church small group stuff we learned about and found that this thinking was productive and encouraged more input from all members of the group. Its not just a matter of the best ideas, but by encouraging engagement brings a freedom to be creative, if that makes any sense, I think thats what your saying. I do find even in my own micro world, that being open and selfless allows input from the customer, which often times leads to some really beautiful master pieces, Im a tile artisan in case I didnt mention, but none the less I found your piece to be quite informative and thought provoking. thanks
Hey Todd, “scarcity is a lie.” So true! I find having a scarcity mentality stalls creativity, and stunts growth. It suffocates the very life out of an idea because SCARCITY thinking will not allow you to expose that idea to the outside light from other radiant minds, and even the rain of constructive criticisms never has a chance to reach the roots so the foundation of that idea is never established or allowed to grow deep. Good stuff man!
